Talking to other people isn't Kate Bailey's favorite activity. She'd much rather be out on the lake, soaking up the solitude and sunshine. So when her best friend, Alana, convinces Kate to join their high school's podcast, Kate is not expecting to be chosen as the host. Now she'll have to answer calls and give advice on the air? Impossible.
But to Kate's surprise, she turns out to be pretty good at the hosting gig. Then the podcast gets in a call from an anonymous guy, asking for advice about his unnamed crush. Kate is pretty sure that the caller is gorgeous Diego Martinez, and even surer that the girl in question is Alana. Kate is excited for her friend ... until Kate herself starts to develop feelings for Diego. Suddenly, Kate finds that while doling out wisdom to others may be easy, asking for help is tougher than it looks, and following your own advice is even harder.
Kasie West's adorable story of secrets, love, and friendship is sure to win over hearts everywhere.
Listen to Your Heart is Kasie West’s newest book. This book is a fluffy YA contemporary novel. As Heather from Bookables describe them it’s like cotton candy. They are sweet and fluffy.
This story of Kate who is not interesting in changing things around. She loves the Lake. She is not over her ex moving away and ghosting her. Her best friend convinces her to take a podcasting class. She is in for a treat.
Kate is selected to be one of the podcast host for this year. The show topic is giving advice to her fellow students. In this show, Kate faces her fear.
There is a cute love story/triangle in this story. Alana, Kate’s best friend, likes Diego. Kate meets and hang out with Diego and she starts to like him. Diego over the course of a few weeks starts to call in the show and he is known as Looking for Love. He share that he likes a girl so Kate assumes it’s Alana. But it turns out it’s not.
Overall this was a cute love story. It’s not one of my favorite Kasie West book that title goes to Love, Life and the List.
I love that this story incorporates a podcast which was unique. I love how the love story unravels.Yes there was a love triangle but I was happy how it was handled. I love the role of family in this story and how the siblings loved each other and get along.
